《三十二》试图走进一个“慰安婦”的内心世界,是一个纪录片。“慰安妇”这三个字,曾经在多少中国人心里被披上“中国恥辱”的外衣。曾几何时,又是多么敏感的一个词。多少人想揭,却不敢活生生揭开;多少人想拍,又怕打扰到她们的生活。這是一段疼痛的历史,每个中国人心知肚明。
尘埃无足轻重,所以无人留意,影片的第一个镜头便是飘落的尘埃,足足三十二秒,隐喻着我们的视角和态度,讲述这一段真实却“随风飘落”的故事……
我們纪录这个特殊群体中的一位老人,既要敘其事,更要透其实。没有跌宕的剧情,放弃惯用的技巧,只是给大家娓娓道来一个真实的故事。就像片中的大山一样,沉静、稳健。待到結尾,老人与见证她一生遭遇的这座大山站在了一起,她那段“为什么活着”的口述,最终点亮了本片的所有内涵。“真正的勇者”是饱受磨难后还能笑看生命的人,“生命”是什么?也许这位中国慰安妇能让你找到答案……

“Thirty Two” is a documentary that attempts to enter the inner world of “comfort women”. How many Chinese were put to shame from these two words when it was once a very sensitive word. A story many want to expose but do not dare to uncover; many wants to record, but afraid to intrude to their lives. This is a painful history and every Chinese is well aware of it.

No one pays attention to insignificant dust; on the contrary the movie starts the first scene with falling dust, a full 32 seconds metaphor signifying our perspective and attitude, entailing this real but “wind falling” story…

We record this special group of elderlies, to recount the event, and also to reveal the truth. A true story presented in a meander manner without any deliberate climaxing plot or storytelling techniques. Just like the mountains in the movie, peaceful and hearty. In the end, the elderly stood with the mountains that witnessed her life sufferings, her dictation of “Why live?” ultimately lit up the movie’s connotation. “Real Heroes” are people who can face life positively even after a tormented life, perhaps this particular Chinese comfort women can led you to the answer of “What is life?”

该片记录了有中国艾米丽·迪金森之称的中国农村脑瘫女诗人余秀华的生活,讲述了来自湖北省钟祥市横店村的诗人余秀华成名之后,为挣脱束缚、重获自由,与无爱丈夫离婚的故事。2016年,该片获得第29届阿姆斯特丹国际纪录片电影节纪录长片评委会大奖。

Opening movie: Still Tomorrow

A Fan Jian film documenting the life of a Chinese rural poetess Yu Xiuhua who’s been named “Emily Dickinson of China”. It tells the story of how Yu Xiuhua managed to breakthrough bondages of life and regain freedom by divorcing her husband after she got famous.

电影《柳如是》根据国学大师陈寅恪的《柳如是别传》改编,由中央新闻记录电影制片厂与常熟市政府联合出品,是中国最后一批胶片电影。该影片讲述了在明末清初家国离乱的背景下,一代才女柳如是与江南文宗钱谦益之间白发红颜的爱情故事、风雨家国的乱世遭遇,影片由吴琦执导,万茜、秦汉、冯绍峰主演,于201238日上映。

Opening movie: Liu Rushi

Directed by Woody Wu and adapted from Supplementary Biography of Liu Rushi, works of the late Master of Chinese Culture Chen Yinque, it is China’s last batch of movies on film. Co-produced by China News Documentary Film Studio and Changshu municipal government and co-starred by Wan Qian, Qin Han and Feng Shaofeng, the film tells the story of the love across generations between the famous geisha and poetess Liu Rushi and renowned poet and scholar Qian Qianyi in Nanjing by the end of Ming Dynasty when China was again in chaos. The film was shown on March 8, 2012.

《蜻蜓之眼》是中国艺术家徐冰的一件艺术作品,是一部无法上院线的电影作品,是首部由公开监控视频剪辑出来的电影剧情长片,在这个没有演员、没有摄影师的电影中,他设计了一个无法界定自己身份的女主角蜻蜓。讲述了她整容前后的故事。《蜻蜓之眼》曾入围2017年洛迦诺国际电影节。

Opening movie: Eyes of the Dragonfly

Directed by Chinese artist Xu Bing, the film is a production that cannot make to the cinemas as it’s the first narrative feature edited from clips of public surveillance camera videos. In this film that has no actor or photographer, Xu Bing sets a heroine who’s not sure about her own identity — the Dragonfly, and tells the stories of before and after her cosmetic surgery. The film entered the shortlist of Locarno International Film Festival in 2017.
